Sodium carbonate called/known as “Soda ash” with Na2Co₃ formula, is a multipurpose chemical substance with various industrial applications. This product usually made by Solvay way/solution. Soda ash has two grades: heavy and light soda ash, the difference is on their density.

 Each of these two types of sodium carbonate light and heavy soda ash have their own special applications. This difference in application is due to the density and particle size of these material. In general, light sodium carbonate is used for industry manufacturing to make detergents or other chemicals, which is very useful in its kind. Heavy sodium carbonate is commonly used in the glass industry.
